What’s so great about lemon water?

Let’s do an experiment.

I dare you…no I double dog dare you to try this one simple thing everyday for a week and then tell me you didn’t experience any of the benefits lemon water has.
Lemon water on an empty stomach stimulates your digestive system, creating regularity in your bowel movements. It also acts as a detoxifier. It flushes the liver, kidneys, small intestine and colon, removing impurities and toxic build up. Because lemon is so high in vitamin C it boosts your immune system and it is also high in natural pectin, a form of fiber, sipping on lemon water throughout the day will make you feel full longer, which can lead to weight loss. Not to mention that lemon is high in Alkalinity so it helps maintain the PH balance in our bodies! So, I guess you are wondering how you can work this into your daily routine?

Two very simple ways to make sure you are getting your daily dose of lemon water is to cut lemons into slices and every time you fill your water glass just squeeze a couple slices into your glass and drop them right into your glass. Sip on this magical concoction all day long to maximize the benefits.Or…(my personal favorite) take a large mug of water and squeeze half a lemon into the water and drop the lemon right into the mug. Now, microwave the mug for 2 minutes. Place the mug of steaming hot lemon water next to your bed and as soon as your alarm goes off in the morning gulp it down! You will feel the effects within minutes! The combination of the lemon juice and the oil that is extracted from the rind will work magic on kick starting your digestive system and give you a surge of energy! It will also start you off in a state of Alkalinity (PH balance) for the day.
