Although Hemp and marijuana come from the same plant. Hemp comes from the stalk of the plant and smokeable marijuana comes from the cannabis flowers.

You will not get high from eating Hemp….sorry.

Hemp has been used for thousands of years to make paper, rope, clothes and all sorts of other useful things.

Guess what? Its also edible! Hemp is one of the highest sources of complete protein of any plant based food. Hemp contains all 20 amino acids (including all 9 essentialamino acids that our body can only get through food!).

Hemp is also a good source for the following:

  • Essential fatty acids
  • Vitamins and Minerals (A,B1,B3, B5, D and E)
  • Phytonutrients

Hemp is a more digestable form of protein than soy, more digestable Omega’s than flax and more digestable fiber than kale.

If all of these facts are not enough to convince you to be a Hemp lover how about this one…

It has very little flavor so you can add it to soups, smoothies, muffins, or even top your favorite frozen yogurt with it for an extra protein kick without altering the flavor of the food at all!

I have even more good news! Hemps is good for you….and the planet! It is a sustainable crop that takes a low toll on the soil and can be grown in a large variety of climates/environments!
